Our Story & Background

Founded in November 2024, EmpowerNET Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit workforce development organization based in Cook County, IL. Recognizing the urgent need for high-demand skills training, we developed a holistic approach that connects skill development, employment, and enterprise learning through our flagship programs:

AspireNXT → Skill Development & Certification

EcoHire → Employment & Workforce Growth

StartupECO → Multi-Vertical Startup Ecosystem for Youth Entrepreneurship

Statement of Need (The Workforce Transition Challenge)

  • The aging workforce is creating an urgent need for skilled young entrepreneurs to step in as Baby Boomers and Generation X retire.
  • The U.S. will face a shortage of 4.3 million tech workers by 2030 (Faethm, 2024)
  • Lack of access to startup resources and training disproportionately affects young aspiring entrepreneurs
